NC Protests

The latest NC helmet law protests were held on January 1, 2009. In the year since House Bill 563 was enacted, there have been approximately 15 helmet law protests in different areas of the state, not counting several dozen protest rides made by individuals.
The next helmet law protest rides are scheduled for January 28th, which is Opening Day of the NC legislature. Again, we will be going in and speaking with legislators about repealing the helmet law.
Helmet law protest ride
The Gaston County CBA Chapter will be having a helmet law protest ride is this Saturday, July 4th.
We will be meeting in the parking lot at the Roses shopping center in Belmont, behind Bank of America. Line up starts at 10:00 and we roll at 11:30. This is right off exit 27 on I-85. Southbound traffic will take exit 27, left across 85 at end of ramp, shopping center is on the right. Northbound will take exit 27, right at end of ramp, shopping center on right. We should be finished by 12:30 at the latest.
