Firearms Freedom Act passes in Wyoming.

Firearms Freedom Act passes in Wyoming. HB 95. The governor is expected to sign it.

Firearms made, sold and kept only in Wyoming are about to become exempt from all federal gun laws within Wyoming borders. The Firearms Freedom Act passed the Wyoming Legislature on Wednesday.

It's mostly symbolic in favor of states rights and in opposition to the omnipotent stranglehold by the federal government which can claim regulatory control over just about anything under the interstate commerce act. The largest gun maker in Wyoming produces just a small quantity of guns. Utah, Tennessee, and Montana have passed similar laws, but this has extra teeth. Federal agents could be jailed on a felony conviction for violation of this law within Wyoming borders.

There are numerous references and articles on the internet which reference the bills' passage. Instead of choosing any in particular, those with interest beyond this summary can easily find them.
